The Wait For The 2019 GMC Sierra Is Over
The 2019 GMC Sierra was officially unveiled at the Russell Industrial Center earlier this month. The luxury truck’s Detroit debut showed off its industry-first features, new styling, and more premium features. With these updates, Sierra put some distance between itself and its sibling, the Chevrolet Silverado, and marks the future of the premium brand.
One of the biggest reveals was an industry-first carbon-fiber bed. The bed took more than two years to develop and offers a lightweight but durable design. GMC claims that the bed will offer “best-in-class dent-, scratch- and corrosion resistance.”
The GMC Sierra will also feature quite a few exclusive premium features. A multi-dimensional tailgate called the “MultiPro Tailgate” can function as an assist handle and a standing workstation.
In addition to its industry-first and exclusive features, the GMC Sierra also boasts a higher ride height while maintaining its aerodynamic design. The latest model also sees the addition of aluminum doors, hood, and tailgate panels. The use of the aluminum results in a truck that weighs 360 pounds less than its predecessor.
Much like the exterior, the interior of the GMC Sierra boasts plenty of premium amenities. Real wood makes its way to the list of options for the first time. A camera mirror and head-up display are available as well.
The 2019 Sierra will soon be available here at Aransas Autoplex in Aransas Pass, TX, though if you don’t want to wait for the new pickup truck to arrive we would be happy to show you our current inventory.
