The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is bringing a lot of changes to the pickup truck segment. From its new trim levels to its longer wheelbase and lighter body, there’s no doubt that this truck is going to stand out from the competition. One of the biggest reasons why it’s set to do so, though, is because of its three new powertrains – and the efficient technology two of them use.

Two Engine To Chose From

These two engines, which are upgraded versions of the 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 that are currently offered, use Dynamic Fuel Management, an industry-first, cylinder-deactivation tech. This technology allows the engines to use 17 varying cylinder patterns to offer the perfect combination of power and efficiency, making the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado engines leaders in the industry.

New Technology

This new tech will replace the existing Active Fuel Management, which only alternates between eight- and four-cylinder modes. Dynamic Fuel Management utilizes a controller that continually monitors the movement of the accelerator. Based on these movements, it calculates how many cylinders are required to meet the driver’s requested acceleration – and does so 80 times per second. This means your 2019 Silverado is working as hard as possible for you, giving you just the right amount of power to get the job done.

Here at Aransas Autoplex in Aransas Pass, TX, we can’t wait for the upcoming 2019 Chevrolet Silverado to arrive on our lot.
