GMC Colorado ZR2 Bison
Attention all off-road enthusiasts: Earlier this month, Chevrolet unveiled its new Colorado variant, the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison, which has been designed in collaboration with premium off-road aftermarket manufacturer, American Expedition Vehicles (AEV).
What makes the new Colorado ZR2 Bison so suited to off-roading? For starters, Chevy has equipped the Bison with five skid plates to protect the transfer case, fuel tank, engine oil pan, and the front and rear locking differentials. These skid plates, designed by AEV, are especially durable. AEV also designed the stamped steel front and rear bumpers that offer further protection for the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison while off-roading.
An Even Tougher Package
The new Bison variant sits on 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires, wrapped around 17 x 8-inch aluminum wheels. The exterior of the off-road truck boasts Bison decals and a new CHEVROLET lettered grille in place of the classic bowtie on the front end. The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison includes the same equipment as the regular Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 model, including off-road rocker protection, class-exclusive front, and rear locking electronic differentials, cast-iron control arms, segment-exclusive Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, and an Autotrac transfer case.
“More and more enthusiasts are discovering that Colorado is ideal for off-roading, especially overland travel,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Marketing, Chevrolet Truck. The new Bison model just ups the ante. If you need help finding the perfect Chevrolet truck for you, contact the team here at Aransas Autoplex In Aransas Pass, TX.
