It’s been a while since we’ve gotten all-new fresh products from Buick, but now that one is coming—the Cascada—we’re getting a whole wave of new, thrilling goodies.
The LaCrosse, Buick’s best-selling car, is moving on to the next generation. It was introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show and will be the centerpiece of Buick’s new models, going on sale at Aransas Autoplex sometimes next summer.
When some automakers advertise an “all-new” model, they sometimes imply more changes than there really are; however, that isn’t the case with the next-generation Buick LaCrosse, which is in for a major makeover both in and out.
The new waterfall grille is inspired by the award-winning Avenir concept, the rear is totally redesigned with new L-shaped taillights, and the interior has gotten the bulk of the changes, ranging from ultra-refined materials and a new gear selector.
“The Avenir concept shattered expectations of what a Buick could be and the 2017 LaCrosse promises to do the same,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. “Its expressive design represents a break from convention and highlights the progressiveness in all new Buick models.”
